Everything About The civilization of Atlantis
The myth of the civilization of Atlantis was first coined by an ancient Greek philosophy named Plato (427-347 BC) in the book Critias and Timaeus. The legendary island is “more properly a matter for literary criticism, that is, or should be, centred in the study of Plato’s Timaeus and Critias,” he said.However Luce said that earlier generations of classicists were more willing to consider the idea of the Minoans being the inspiration for Atlantis. He said that the idea was first raised in 1909 by a scholar named K.T. Frost, a professor at Queens University Belfast. He wrote an anonymous letter to the Times presenting the idea. They never conquered Egypt or controlled large sections of Europe, as the people of Atlantis are said to have done. Minoan art is also well known. The palace at Knossos contains numerous frescoes depicting dolphins, rosettes and of course the famous bull-leaping scenes.Bull-leaping appears to have played a particularly important role in Minoan art. Professor Maria Shaw said that Knossos is the only site on Crete where these depictions are shown. “I stress in no other palaces,” she said. This indicates that the people at Knossos had a monopoly of sorts on that image – a sign of the power of that place. It took an invasion by a people called the Mycenaeans to put an end to it. These Greek speaking people landed on Crete and swept over the island, colonizing it. At Gournia, the fortifications the inhabitants built on the beach turned out to be useless - the Mycenaean people by-passed them by attacking overland. "Many other settlements were destroyed at the same time. Just as no one knows whether Plato believed in the real existence of the island or whether it was purely a mythical kingdom. Many have said they believe that Plato believed in the island's existence because he exerted so much detail in its description, while others reject this by claiming since the story was purely fiction Plato could put in as much detail as he wanted, it does not prove a thing. Also in doubt is the time period of the story. Solon writes the island existed 9000 years before. This would place the time period in the Early Stone Age. In this period it is hard to imagine the type of agriculture, architecture and sea navigation as described in the story. One explanation for this time period inconsistency is that Solon misinterpreted the Egyptian symbol for "100" for "1000." If this be the case then Atlantis would have existed 900 years before. This would place the Atlantians in the Middle Bronze Age where they would possess the tools and equipment needed for the development described within the story.To collaborate this 900 year theory there is geological evidence showing that roughly about 1500 BCE there was a gigantic volcanic eruption which caused half of the island to sink into the sea. Also a lost city has been said to have sunk in the Bay of Naples. At the time several rich and luxurious seaside resorts were located in the area. In the retelling of the story of Atlantis it is easy to see how one of these cities could be associated with it. The home overlooked a fertile plain bordered by the sea. For his beloved wife's protection Poseidon surrounded her house with five concentric rings of water and land. Atlanteans were very similar to the modern humans, well, certainly not more stupid than us. They were having the same features as we have, it means they were loved, laughed, angry, the apex of which are the Azores. This means that the records of a mysterious crystal of Atlantis were missed, along with the very wonderful continent, but who knows where to lead us astray of the future, and who knows what other powers might have this mechanism. Atlantis promotes the development of culture and scientific and technical research.The republic, being a presidential republic, provides that the election of the President is directed by the people (Voting begins January 15 and end 19, the President takes office Jan. 20) every four years.
